The Public Safety Committee will meet to discuss various items related to the Surveillance Technology Ordinance, including CMA 2021 #41 regarding data on Shotspotter, BRIC and COPLINK
Specific topics I’m hoping to cover include:
- Shotspotter, BRIC and COPLINK, (STIR) and the City Manager’s response to request for data on same (CMA 2021 #41)
- the Surveillance Technology Impact Reports
- the Annual Surveillance reports (CMA 2021 #39)
- the Surveillance Use Policy submitted by the City Manager to the council for approval in accordance with the Surveillance Technology Ordinance (CMA 2019 #319).

The Public Safety Committee and the Economic Development & University Relations Committee will meet jointly to hear from Saskia VannJames, President of the Massachusetts Recreational Consumer Council, on the importance of cannabis cooperatives and their potential role in the equitable development of Cambridge’s emerging recreational cannabis industry
