Tentatively Scheduled Tuesday May 25, 3pm: Building Energy

The Health and Environment committee will meet to discuss proposed amendments to the Building Energy Use Disclosure Ordinance (BEUDO) that would drive down energy use and emissions in existing buildings in Cambridge as well as an update on the Net Zero Action Plan 5-Year Review process and recommendations.

Tentatively Scheduled Wednesday June 9, 11am: Zero Waste

The Health and Environment Committee will meet to discuss the city’s progress on our Zero Waste Plan, and relevant items referred to committee, including eliminating single use plastics.

Specific topics I’m hoping to cover include: Single use plastics (CMA 2021 #58), textile recycling (CMA 2021 #59), issuing standardized trash barrels (CMA 2021 #56), the organic waste pickup program and the bring your own bag ordinance.
